HONG KONG - MAGGIE CHEUNG is taking a break from her break.
She said last Friday that she would act for the first time in four years in director Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, a World War II film set in Nazi- occupied France.
Speaking at a Beijing fashion event, she said her role as a cinema proprietor was small but challenging as she would have to speak French, reported Sing Tao Daily.
'Pity I don't have a chance to appear in the same scene as Brad Pitt. But I'm happy to have another film coming out,' she said.
'I'm also a Tarantino fan, although I haven't watched all of his works, only seven to eight.'
Cheung, 44, has not starred in a film since 2004's Clean, which won her a Cannes Best Actress award.
