LOS ANGELES - FILM star Elizabeth Taylor is 'at home and happy' following a recent stay in a Los Angeles hospital, People.com reported on Tuesday.
The website for celebrity magazine People, citing Taylor's friends, said the two-time best actress Oscar winner was feeling well and planning upcoming trips to Europe and Hawaii.
A representative for Taylor, 76, could not confirm the report and said only that there were no updates beyond a statement released back on July 31 when she was hospitalised.
At that time, several tabloids reported that Taylor was seriously ill, but her spokesman Dick Guttman released a statement saying the rumours were 'dramatic, overstated and untrue' and 'her hospital visit was precautionary'.
A legend in Hollywood, Taylor's career and life have been marked by numerous ups and downs. She began acting as a teenager in films such as Lassie Come Home and National Velvet and as an adult, she won Oscars for 1966's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and 1960's Butterfield 8.
In her personal life, she has been married eight times and battled weight issues and drug and alcohol addiction. -- REUTERS
