Nissan recalls 41,000 cars

TOKYO - JAPAN'S Nissan Motor Co said on Thursday it was recalling 41,159 units of its Dualis sport utility vehicle to repair defective parts including windscreen wipers.

Of the total, 15,670 were produced in Japan between December 2007 and September 2008 and 25,489 in Britain between April and December 2007, the major carmaker said.

Defects have been found in some of these cars in such parts as windscreen wipers, odometers, doors, and tail and brake lights, Nissan said. -- AFP
