ZAGREB - CHINESE President Hu Jintao is on a two-day visit to Croatia to boost economic ties with the former Yugoslav country.
Mr Hu arrived on Friday accompanied by about 200 Chinese businessmen.
He will attend an economic forum and meet senior officials Saturday.
It's the first visit by a Chinese president since Croatia declared independence in 1991.
Chinese imports to Croatia were worth US$1.7 billion (S2.7 billion) last year, while Croatia exported goods worth US$20 million to China, which says it wants to invest in Croatian infrastructure and tourism.
