HONG KONG - A BLIND woman poured boiling hot porridge onto her husband's groin after she suspected that he was cheating on her, The Hong Kong Standard reported on Wednesday.
Leung Yiu-yuen, 56, a taxi driver, suffered second degree burns to his genitals from the attack, which occurred while he slept naked, the paper reported.
The woman, Miu Tsui-fun, 58, reportedly also laced her husband's drinks with female hormones in an attempt to make him impotent because she was convinced that he was having an affair.
After the attack in September last year, Mr Leung required three weeks of treatment and still suffers from an unhealed wound, Hong Kong's High Court heard on Tuesday.
The Standard reported that Miu, who is totally blind and married Mr Leung in 2002, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and will be sentenced on Sept 4.
