Climber dies after scaling peak
BEIJING - A 52-YEAR-OLD Dutch climber has died in Tibet while descending from the world's sixth highest peak, Chinese state media reported Thursday.

The official Xinhua News Agency said the man died Tuesday in a fall while coming down from the 8,201-meter (26,906-foot) summit of Mount Cho Oyu. He began his climb May 9 with five other Dutch climbers and six local guides, the report said, citing the Chinese Mountaineering Association.

The report didn't give the man's name or other details.
