BEIJING - A LOCAL government spokesman says two landslides in southwestern China have killed 11 people. Fifteen others are missing.
A county spokesman said on Monday that unsafe conditions at a quarry and torrential rains in the past few days caused the two separate landslides ON Sunday. The landslides happened in rural Weixin County in Yunnan province.
He said rescue workers were searching for the missing people, who may still be buried, but the situation looks grim.
