ISLAMABAD - FOUR low-grade bombs exploded at a popular theatre complex in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore late on Friday, police said, causing minor damage to nearby buildings but so far no casualties.
Police said the blasts occurred in the heart of the country's second-largest city of 10.5 million people, which is near the Indian border.
Windows were shattered in buildings in the area, police said.
'Four minor blasts occurred inside Al-Falah theatre hall but luckily there was no serious damage,' Lahore police chief Pervaiz Rathore said.
'There is no loss of life reported so far - the theatre was closed for the night,' said Mr Shaukat Javed, the police chief of Punjab province, of which Lahore is the capital.
The bombs appeared to be crudely-made devices of very low intensity, local police officer Mohammad Ijaz said. -- AFP
