KATHMANDU - AT LEAST 35 people were missing after a crowded ferry capsized on Sunday in a river in eastern Nepal, a local official said.

'At least 35 people are missing after the boat turned over in the Koshi river early on Sunday,' local official Yubaraj Bhattarai said by telephone from Sunsari district, 230 kilometres southeast of Kathmandu. -- AFP
