GUWAHATI (India) - THE toll from a series of bomb blasts in India's restive northeastern region has climbed to six, a local minister said on Friday.
'One person succumbed to injuries at a hospital,' local health minister Himant Biswa Sarma said in Assam state, compounding a toll of five deaths announced previously.
At least 50 people were injured after three explosions rocked Guwahati, the state's largest city.
Four people were still in a critical state, the minister said.
In October, 71 people were killed and scores hurt when a series of bombs exploded in towns and cities across Assam. -- AFP
