French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner says the plane was carrying three doctors plus extra consular staff to help people who may have lost their ID papers in the terror and confusion that struck the Indian city.
France's Foreign Ministry says Spain and Germany have asked that the flight bring back their nationals, and that a group of European lawmakers has asked to board it, too. The ministry says the plane has space for 150 people, and that it will be met back in France by Red Cross personnel.
